Measuring Your Waist Before Choosing Your Belt: The Key To A Great Fit
Most belts in my shop are adjustable and will fit a range of sizes. I do think about that when I design, especially because I sell mostly online and you can’t try them on beforehand. Yes, I do accept returns and it’s totally possible to send it back if your belt doesn’t fit. Still, it’s much better to receive a belt that does fit well, right? So, it’s a good idea to know your waist measurement before choosing.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind when measuring your waist:
- If you don’t have a tape measure, you can use a piece of ribbon or a string to take your waist measurement and then use a ruler to determine the length.
- Keep the tape parallel to the ground and don’t pull it too tight.
- Most belts are made to be worn at the natural waist. If you prefer to wear it lower, measure there. If you want to wear it with thick clothing, take your measurement on top of the clothing you intend to wear your belt with.
